It was a christmas filming for the cast and crew's amusement never meant to be shown as it was fully laden with innuendo. In fact I know a variety of shows at that time did similar, for instance Bullseye did it yearly but I won't post a link to that at this is for childrens TV of yesteryear and Bullseye doesn't really fall in the catergory.
